Gagan Cheema, M.Sc., R-SLP
Registered Speech-Language Pathologist
Gagan completed her Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of British Columbia in 2021 and is registered with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of British Columbia (CSHBC). She has experience working with toddlers, preschoolers and school-aged children across various settings, including schools and clinics. Gagan’s areas of practice include Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, apraxia, speech articulation, literacy, learning disabilities, language delays, fluency, and pragmatics and social communication. She also has experience with Alternative Augmentative Communication, particularly TouchChat. Gagan is trained in the Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets (PROMPT) approach and enjoys working with children to improve their motor speech.
Gagan offers services in Punjabi and English, both in-person and virtually. She takes a functional and client-centered approach and frequently collaborates with team members, such as physicians, teachers and behaviour consultants, occupational therapists, etc. to ensure high quality of care.
